Workshop details

Introduction to Social Media is aimed at people and organisations who are new to the world of social media and its uses to promote the aims and objectives of organisations and causes.

This workshop looks at the common types of social media that are available and explores how these can help organisations to plan how social media can help.

Learning Outcomes

This workshop will look at and cover

· Common social media systems and methods including Blogging, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and podcasting.

· Learners will be aware of the benefits of each type and be able to identify areas where they may be useful.

· How to set up accounts and use each of the social     media tools.

· Look at good social media etiquette and the need for a social media policy

· Marketing, fundraising and productivity using social media

Trainer Pete Read: Pete is experienced  in the Voluntary sector. He has managed significant projects into the statutory sector and was the ICT champion for the West Midlands
